My budding Picassos

Actually, I'm not a big fan of Picasso, so maybe I should hope they are my budding Monets. The kids' old art teacher retired, and I bugged her teen-aged homeschooled assistant to start her own classes. Well, she did...right at the same time the old teacher came "out of retirement". We love Heather (the old teacher), but Natalie is an amazing artist too, so we went with her this time around. Here are some samples of the kids' work. Technically Mimi and TJ are taking the class, but Scott sat in one day that Mimi's "9 going on 19 attitude" was getting her in tons of trouble.

I thought it might be fun to let you guys guess who did each one. I don't know that I have anything to offer as a prize except bragging rights, but try anyway! I'll post who did what tomorrow night.

very nice art work! I'm not even going to hazard a guess as to who did what!

I think TJ did the strawberry, the bird, and the two flowers and Mimi did the other two. Am I right? Am I right??
very nice. I can't wait to find a good art teacher here.

Kudos to Tiffany for being the ONLY one of my close friends to even make a stab at who did what. Mimi did the bird, TJ did the strawberry, Scott did the 2 flowers, Mimi did the sun/moon (which Jennie must show to her daughter...apparently that's a design they cam up with), and TJ did the single flower. I have to say, I love the sun/moon thing because it was her original concept and she did a great job on it. And I really like TJ's flower. The shading on the flower's middle and petals is really well done for a 7 year old.

You didn't give me much time to guess! This is the first I've seen of this...I love the sun/moon one!
