Three Things Thursday 4/24/14

Three Things Thursday-the Friday edition, LOL.  I'm really trying to keep it together here, I promise!  So before this leeches over into Saturday, let's get on with it.

1)  Somehow, I can't seem to type Thursday without capitalizing the H as well.  It's ALWAYS THursday, and then I have to fix it.  I always delete the whole word and make myself retype the whole thing.  It's my in vain attempt to train myself not to type it incorrectly...so far it's not working.

2)  I'm going to a ladies' retreat tomorrow.  I think we've found a church, although we've only gone there 3 weeks now.  The people are super friendly, and it's much more what we are used to size wise.  The church has a vision to be like Paul, planting small churches all around our area.  Each church has its own pastor who delivers his own message each week, but the church leaders all work together and the campuses do things together-like all the kids gather for youth group in one central place-so that despite the smaller size of each church, there are plenty of people at events and activities.  Soooo there will be over 70 women at this retreat tomorrow.  And if you know me, you know that means I will be totally out of my comfort zone.  Y'all please pray for me.  The introvert in me is already dreading what I've gotten myself into.  But I know this is the way to meet other ladies in the church, so I will go, and I will smile, and I will meet people, and I will come home, and be a vegetable afterward, LOL.

3)  I've been getting out and about with my camera more lately.  I enjoy sneaking off to capture things, and there is so much beauty around here to be captured.  One of my favorite songs is Sweetly Broken by Jeremy Riddle, and I felt very compelled this Easter season to put the lyrics on a print.

The problem was that I didn't have a picture of a cross that worked for what I wanted.  So I went out last night, which is why this post is late, and here's the not-quite-finished product.  (Not quite finished because it turns out my heavy gun photo editing software that does text isn't actually installed on my new computer, so I had to use picmonkey, and I can't create shadows or outline the letters, so I'll have to adjust it later.  But this is the general idea in low resolution, so it's not great quality, but our internet won't allow a big file right now.

I hope you had a great retreat! The word that I have the most problem typing is "grace" because I always want to add an "i". LOL
