My Day Six

Happy Monday! We actually did a little school today...emphasis on LITTLE :-). Had about an hour chat with a neighbor (that happens whenever he stops by, and he lives behind us) that set me an hour behind this morning, but my kids didn't object too much, LOL. I DID get a load of laundry done. I also got kicked and pinched by my eldest (two different temper explosions). I set up appts. for myself and my husband with the Doctor. Mine for the migraine issue-his because he hasn't been since 2001 and apparently his cholesterol is through the ROOF (so said the lab results from our life insurance application). I washed some pots and pans (that I ran the dishwasher goes without saying-that happens AT LEAST once a day). I cleaned my cooktop and counters. (My house looks like a pig stye, but I am a fanatic about my cooktop-go figure...it's an illness). I rigged the cage the kittens are in so that they can't escape it, but they CAN now have the run of the place (before they were in a large plastic tub). Oh, and I talked to Scott's Doctor about ordering any physical test we can run on him while my deductible is met. Speaking of that, I talked to the hospital about a payment plan for my outstanding balance. The LEAST I can pay is $187 a month...(Is that doable? she asks. As if I have a choice!) I also spent a ridiculous amount of time online researching everything from ODD to Blueberry plants that thrive in our zone. It wasn't a bad day, but it wasn't the day I expected to have.
Today's pictures should make you smile:
Always seeking to make lemonade out of our lemons, here's Mimi walking the "tightrope" over the chasm that Riley has dug in our yard. Actually, thanks to the rain, the hole is only about 1 1/2 feet deep, but the kids found an old pipe and put it over the chasm, and they like to walk across it.

The next one needs commentary...
See, our bunny Thumper was featured on the front of a local family magazine with my daughter Sari.

Apparently the fame has gone to his little bunny head, and he's trying out a new look. A hipper look. A rougher look. A look that says, "Don't even THINK about making stew out of me." (You may have to click on it to get the full effect.)
Or it could just be that my mischevious 7 year old got him with the squirt gun, which was cruel and unusual punishment since a cold front moved through this afternoon and it was really windy and cool.

Cute picture of Emily! Your day sounds like a day that would put me over the edge, sounds like you handled it better than I would have though. Good for you!

Tell me about the blueberry plants for our zone. Sash would be interested in that.
